Accounts Receivable Collection Notes enhancement¶
Adapted from the Pulse Dashboard fact sheet "Accounts Receivable Collection Notes Enhancement", August 2023.
Chasing payment means documenting each call and knowing when to call back. This enhancement puts collection notes and follow-up dates directly on the Accounts Receivable Detail Aging report, so the record lives next to the balance it concerns rather than in a separate spreadsheet.
Features¶
- Collection notes — free-form notes of unlimited length, against customers and against individual invoices, editable and deletable at any time
- Follow-up dates — set a follow-up date on any item
- Collection priority code — your own priorities and codes
- Statement — email a statement to the customer during the call
Getting started¶
- Add three columns to your A/R Aging Detail screen: Cust Collection Notes, Follow-up Date and Collection Priority.
- Right-click the Cust Collection Notes column to add a note.
- The notes screen opens. Key as many notes as you need, and timestamp each one if you want the history.
The same right-click adds a note to an individual invoice rather than to the customer. Advanced techniques lists all seven columns the feature adds and how to define your own priority codes.
