Serial / Lot Traceability & Recall Tracking

Adapted from the Pulse Dashboard fact sheet "Serial/Lot Traceability/Recall Tracking Software", July 2020.

When an item has to be recalled, three questions have to be answered quickly: when was it purchased, when was it consumed in a production order, and which customers received it and when. The Serial/Lot Traceability report answers all three on one screen for any parent item or component item.

For food processors, this is what makes compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act practical — a surprise audit takes minutes rather than hours.

How it works

  1. Key all or part of a finished good or component item number, a serial/lot number, or both.
  2. Press Find.
  3. The program displays separate tabs for the item and serial/lot number you specified:
    • on-hand quantities
    • purchase order receipt quantities and dates
    • production orders that consumed the component item — open and closed
    • pending customer orders and invoiced customer shipments
    • parent serial/lot numbers showing their component serial/lot numbers
  4. Use the standard Pulse filtering and sorting to narrow to a date range.

Every screen exports to Excel, PDF, printer or email.
